RUTH: The Devoted Matriarch
Life doesn’t always move in the direction we thought it would. Plans can collapse, and the people we love may suffer. Some seasons of loss can leave us trying to make sense of what God is doing while we’re still wrapping our heads around what’s even happened. In these moments, faith isn’t theoretical. It’s the hard, daily work of trusting God. It's when the next step is clear enough to take, but not clear enough for us to explain – at least, not really.
In the Bible, we find Ruth’s story. This tale from ancient Israel can help us see faith take shape in loyalty, humility, and everyday obedience. It doesn’t ignore grief or rush past pain, but it also doesn’t leave us there. Her journey shows us that, when God becomes our refuge, faithfulness in the small things becomes part of the way God provides, redeems, and draws us deeper into himself.

Message Series Description:
Our culture values safety, predictability, and control. We like safety and surety. But beneath the surface, many of us feel the pull of something greater, a longing for meaning that cannot be satisfied by what is comfortable or easy. Leaning into faith unsettles the illusion of security and forces us to wrestle with notions of trust, courage, and what we're ultimately living for.
What if the life God intends is not tame, but an adventure worth risking everything for? What if the unknown becomes the place where we find His presence most real, His promises most sure, and His joy most complete? And what if adventurers living out this kind of life thousands of years ago can show us how to do the same today?
