Why Does the Church Matter?
In a culture of individualism, self-determination, and disconnection, it’s easy to think of faith or religion as something only personal and private. But from the beginning, the people of God were never meant to walk life alone. The Church is not a building or an event. It is a people with a purpose, a community designed to shine, and is called out in covenantal ways that the world can never truly replicate.
Our world needs more than well-meaning individuals. It needs a collective witness to hope, truth, and love. The Church becomes that witness when it steps into darkness with light, into need with compassion, and into conflict with peace … not because it is perfect, but because it points to the One who is.

Message Series Description:
We spend a lot of life in motion - building, chasing, reacting, and figuring it out as we go. But sometimes the most important step forward begins with a step back. Back to where it all started. Back to the things that matter most. Life invariably layers on expectations & noise, but clarity is often found, not by adding more, but by returning to that which is foundational.
What if rediscovering the heart of our faith - not the extras, not the distractions, but the core truths - can both ground us and call us forward in a way that leans into hope and purpose. Whether you’ve been walking with Jesus for decades or are just starting to ask questions, there is an opportunity to pause, to realign, and to remember what really matters most. Because sometimes the way forward begins by getting back to basics.
