Day 16

For many of us, we've been told the equivalent of "It'll build character!" or something similar more than once in our lives - usually when we're being asked (or told!) to do something that we're not in favor of doing. And the kicker is that the sentiment is usually right. Doing something we're not naturally inclined to do DOES often develop worthwhile traits in us, especially if we engage it with even a little bit of an open mind.

As we push ourselves in this final week of our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting, we're pushing into practices that may be foreign or difficult for us. But the truth of the Bible (and that the history of Jesus' church affirms) is that these things DO grow us closer to Him and that they help us develop habits that align our hearts with His!
